Policy Highlights

Illness & Exclusion

Children must stay home with a fever of 100.4°F+, vomiting/diarrhea, or contagious illness, and may return after 24 hours symptom-free (without medication) or with provider clearance.

Medication

Given only with written authorization, in the original labeled container, with a detailed log. Controlled substances are locked.

Screen Time

Limited and developmentally appropriate — occasional 2–3 minute videos to enhance a topic, never a primary activity.

Rest & Safe Sleep

Individual cot, mat, or crib per child, visually monitored at all times. No loose bedding for infants; non-sleepers get quiet activities.

Positive Guidance

Redirection, clear expectations, choices, and encouragement. Corporal punishment is strictly prohibited; calm-down time is supportive, never punitive.

Outdoor Learning

Daily outdoor play except in extreme conditions (above 100°F, below 20°F, storms, or air-quality emergencies).

Photos & Privacy

A picture/video permission form is completed at enrollment. Photos of your child are never posted to social media without your permission.

Pets on Premises

A family dog and fish live on the property, always kept in separate, restricted spaces during childcare hours with no direct child access.

Mandatory Reporting

The provider is a mandated reporter and legally required to report suspected abuse or neglect to CPS or law enforcement.
